Dabur Vatika Oil Balance Dandruff Treatment Shampoo Review – Dabur Vatika shampoos are there in the market for a long time. Towards the end of last year, Vatika had introduced a new range of shampoos – Dabur Vatika Oil Balance Treatment Shampoos. The range includes four shampoos – hair fall treatment shampoo, smoothing treatment shampoo, split treatment and this Dabur Vatika Oil Balance Dandruff Treatment Shampoo. I have already tried the first two variants and thankfully, both of them worked great for me. Dandruff wasn’t troubling me since past few months, thanks to my Amway Satinique anti dandruff shampoo. But recently I was noticing mild dandruff issues. I spotted this shampoo at a local store and thought of giving it a try.
Dabur Vatika Oil Balance Dandruff Treatment Shampoo Review
Dabur Vatika Oil Balance Dandruff Treatment Shampoo is enhanced with unique ‘oil-balance’ formula. According to Vatika, oil imbalance is one of the main reasons behind dandruff and flaky scalp. The shampoo is enriched with natural oils which act as anti-dryness treatment. Apart from that, the formula contains lemon and tea tree extracts. Both lemon and tea tree is known for their anti dandruff properties. Also lemon has excellent cleansing ability, while tea tree contains anti bacterial properties. Together these two fight dandruff and give clean scalp. Though it keeps dandruff at bay, but still I like to avoid this shampoo. What Dabur Vatika Oil Balance Dandruff Treatment Shampoo claims
My experience with Dabur Vatika Oil Balance Dandruff Treatment Shampoo
Dabur Vatika Oil Balance Dandruff Treatment Shampoo comes in a bright yellow colored sleek bottle with a flip open cap. The cap shuts tightly, making it a spillage proof and travel friendly packaging. Overall I am quite impressed with the packaging.
The shampoo is pale yellow in color. The consistency is little bit on the thicker side. The smell of Dabur Vatika Oil Balance Dandruff Treatment Shampoo is quite strong but not overpowering. Due to the thick consistency, its pretty difficult to spread the shampoo. So, I always dilute it with a few drops of water and then apply it on my scalp and hair. Upon application, this shampoo gives a cooling sensation which feels pretty refreshing. It lathers well and effectively removes all the dirt, oil and build up from scalp and hair. Washing it off isn’t difficult either.
Post wash my scalp feels fresh and clean. The smell lingers on for quite some time, which makes my hair smelling great too. As I already mentioned I had mild dandruff, this Dabur Vatika Oil Balance Dandruff Treatment Shampoo was able to clear that off effectively. But it made my hair little bit dry. So, following up with a conditioner or serum is must. This is not a great option for dry hair and dry scalp. If you are suffering from severe dandruff issue, I wouldn’t suggest you this shampoo. Severe dandruff needs frequent application which might end up damaging your hair.
Overall, Dabur Vatika Oil Balance Dandruff Treatment Shampoo is a good choice for mild dandruff. It cleanses hair pretty well but has little drying effect. So, oily hair beauties can go for it. But dry hair girls better avoid this shampoo.
