To get relief from toothache, crush one garlic clove and wait for 10 minutes to activate the allicin. Apply a very small quantity onto the affected area and leave on for few minutes. Rinse with warm salt water. Warm salt water will kill the infection causing bacteria and reduce the burning sensation from garlic paste. You can chew a sprig of parsley afterwards to get rid of the odor.
