Apparently sitting in sun for some time can lower down your cholesterol as sun converts cholesterol in blood streams to Vitamin D which actually is another good thing.

Causes premature ageing and makes skin look old
UVA rays are stronger during the earlier part of the day than the later part of the day. These rays causes collagen and elastin to break which makes your skin less firm. Also, staying out for long hours in the sun can cause some brown spots; patches of pigment grow on your face, which should have come in old age otherwise. Too much of sun burn can also lead to skin cancer. So many reasons to stay away from the sun and put on sunscreen at regular intervals.
Tan and risk of melanoma
If you go out in the sun without sunscreen Sun triggers melanin production which occurs at the top of your skin to protect it from sun, which you see as tan. Indication your body is freaking out because of sun burn and trying to protect you. But with fair skinned people, they can’t produce adequate melanin, as a result skin gets bombarding with UVA rays and skin will get more burned, and there will be higher risk of melanoma (brown patches on skin due to too much melanin accumulation which is harmful).
Sun will make your skin to dry out and results in more oil production which would turn into zits and acne.
Causes Sun damage or freckles
Sun damage causes a cluster of melanin i.e. freckles which becomes more prominently visible when you go out too much in sun.
Sun dries up the moisture in hairs making them dehydrated. Brittle and damaged. Also, if you don’t protect your hairs with scarf, cap or something sun will very easily alter your hair color.
