Few Things I Don’t Miss About ’90s Beauty and Makeup
Over Plucked Eye Brows
Skinny eyebrows were in trend during ’90s. There were hardly anything there other than superthin black line. Today we have full, thick and perfectly arched eyebrows in fashion and no body would want to trim their brows to a mere thin line.
Too much of Blue Eye Shadow
Nothing in excess is good as so is blue eye shadow. While blue eye makeup can look pretty cool, but too much of blue eye shadow can actually ruin the look. During the ’90s the same thing happened and ladies didn’t even hesitate to apply blue shadow all the way up to the brow!!
Using Body Glitter
Body glitter was very much in fashion during the ’90s. Decorating yourself with glittering powder, gels or even sprays were quite common those days. Now we have illuminator and we don’t want to go back to those ‘glittering’ days.
Brown lipsticks are beautiful and specially matte brown lipsticks look so pretty. But during the ’90s, brown lipsticks with bronzy or pearly hue was in trend. Metallic brown to be honest, doesn’t look really good.
The Two-Clip Style
Using two barrettes on the either side of the head looks only good to toddlers. It was one of the beauty trends of ’90s that even grown-up girls used to sport. Thankfully, its totally out now!
Messy Accent Braids
A single, thin braid among messy, wavy hair was a popular hairstyle during the ’90s. These days we have so many trendy braided hairstyles and this weird messy accent braids don’t even come close.
Everybody got highlights during the ’90s and as it was just introduced, so everyone wanted to show it off. Highlighted sections were big, bright and very obvious. These days, highlights are kept natural which looks just superb.
