5 Exercise for Hip Pain Relief

Dhanur Asan

Lie down straight with stomach at bottom. Keep your feet 12 inches apart. Lift your leg by bending your legs. Hold your feet with hands and try to take your face and shoulder upwards above the floor, so that a shape of bow may be formed. Hold the pose for five seconds and repeat it five times. Try to keep your breath normal.

Butterfly pose

Sit in the pose where you will keep your legs folded and place the feet near the groin. Try to keep your soles closer and wave your thighs and knees as butterfly does with the wings. Do as much count you can, you need to feel the stretch in your thigh, hip and feet.

Trikona Asana

Keep your feet wide apart while standing straight. Stretch your shoulder straight and bend sideways, towards right and try to touch the feet with right hand and lift your left hand towards the ceiling, hold the position for five minutes and get back to the first position and repeat the same with the left side. Do this for five rounds.

Markat Asana

Lie down straight on ground on your back and fold your legs from knee and place them near the hips. The knees should be at least 12 inches distance from ground. Hold your hand by folding your arms straight at back of your head. Then try to bend the legs towards right and try to touch the ground while looking towards the left. Hold it for five seconds, come back to position and do similarly for the left side with face right. Do this for five sets.

Sphinx

Lie down on your stomach. Keep your feet together. Raise your face, shoulder depending on your arms. Keep your body till stomach stretched up, keeping your elbows aligned just below the shoulder. Your will feel the stretch at your hip. Repeat the step for five times.
